What is the difference between LED & Incandescent Lights?

Picture
LED – “Lighting Emitting Diode”

  • Uses 1/10th the energy consumption compared to standard incandescent mini light bulbs. (100 LED bulbs requires 50 watts of electricity per hour).
  • Has a bulb life of 10,000 plus continuous hours.
  • The bulbs are cool to touch and keeps lighting safe to use indoor and out.
  • The bulbs have an epoxy lens and are virtually indestructible.
  • 20 strands of 70-100 lights can be connected end to end without over loading the fuses in the strands
  • If a bulb goes out, the other bulbs will stay lit due to parallel wiring.

Incandescent – Conventional Holiday Lights

  • 100 incandescent bulbs requires 500 watts of electricity per hour.
  • Has a bulb life of 3,000 hours.
  • The bulbs tend to get warm after long periods of time.
  • The bulbs have a glass lens and can break upon impact.
  • 6 strands of 100 lights can be connected end to end without over loading the fuses in the strands.
  • If a bulb goes out, you must locate the bulb and replace it. It may also create the other bulbs in the line to go out as well.
